# Do I need engineered drawings for my permit?
## Ask your local planning department if they will accept non-engineered drawings.
If permitting is needed, some municipalities will accept non-engineered drawings which are include in the cost of your greenhouse. If non-engineered job-specific drawings will not be sufficient, the greenhouse enters our full engineering process.
BC Greenhouses will provide the necessary engineered shop drawings to secure in any state or province. **There is an additional charge for this service (dependent on the size, use case and complexity of the greenhouse) and generally will** **add 6 to 12 weeks to the lead time of the project.**
If a permit is necessary, **BC Greenhouse Builders will not commence manufacturing the greenhouse until all drawings are approved by our engineers and your planning department**.
